Here is another aticle that you can post if you like. It gives
guidelines for Mage Lore as well as a list of spells with their casting
costs and number for special nodes as well as recipes with number,
required skill, and required ingredients.

Here it is:

Mage Lore Guidelines

A common thing in scenario design are encounters that give mage or
priest spells or alchemy recipes. Any good scenario designer would put
in Mage Lore checks for these encounters. However, what is the amount
of Mage Lore that you should require. I have developed simple
guidelines to setting the amount of Mage Lore you should require.

The # = the amount of Mage Lore required.

For Spells:

 Level 4 = 8, Level 5 = 12, Level 6 = 15, Level 7 = 18.

For Alchemy, I use the amount of skill to make as a guideline with the
minimal amount of 8.

So Potion of Clarity will require 9; Strong Power = 20; Weak Poison = 8,
etc.

I do give one exception to this rule, Knowledge Brew. Normally, it
would be 19. However, the potential for this is too great
(near-infinite skill points!). I set it at 25. Although Jeff says not
to take it higher than 20, I do make few exceptions to the rule.
However, DO NOT go higher than 25!!

Here is a list of spell types included in Scenario Documentation.

Hopefully these lists will help you in setting Mage Lore and choosing
which spells and alchemetical recipes to have in your scenario.
Remember to place the ingredients in your scenario! Always place at
least one source of every ingredient in each scenario! I have seen
scenarios that do not have them and if they do not, it takes away a
valuable aspect to the game. Also, do NOT give divine thuds or
knowledge brew recipes in low level scenarios. Use common sense!

Also, be sure that you give Mage Lore reasonable levels of settings and
always use it when giving a spell or recipe.
